In the Electrical wiring of Buildings / Malls / Cement Plant/power station, a cable Tray system is employed to support insulated electric cables used for power distribution & communication. Cable Trays are used as an alternative to open wiring or electrical conduit systems & are commonly used for cable management in commercial & industrial construction. they're especially useful in situations where changes to wiring systems are anticipated since new cables are often installed by laying them within the Tray, rather than pulling them through a pipe.

Tray Covers To Be Used Outdoors Or In Dusty Locations May Have Peaked Shape To Shed Debris Including Dust, Ice, Or Snow. Large Power Cables Laid Within The Tray May Require Support Blocks To Take Care Of Spacing Between Conductors To Stop Overheating Of The Wires. Smaller Cables Could Also Be Laid Unsecured In Horizontal Trays, Or Secured With Cable Ties To The Rock Bottom Of Vertically Mounted Trays.

To Maintain The Support Of Cables At Changes Of Elevation Or Direction Of A Tray, An Outsized Number Of Specialized Cable Tray Fittings Are Made Compatible With Each Style & Manufacturer. Horizontal Elbows Change The Direction Of A Tray Within The Same Plane Because The Bottom Of The Tray & Are Made 30,45 & 90 Degrees Forms, Inside & Outside Elbows Are For Changes Perpendicular To The Tray Bottom. These Are Often In Various Shapes Including Tees & Crosses. Some Adjustable Elbows Are Useful For Field-Fitting A Tray Around Obstacles Or Around Irregular Shapes. Various Clamping, Supporting & Splicing Accessories Are Used With The Cable Tray To Supply An Entire Functional Tray System. For Instance – Different Sizes Of Cable Trays Used Within One Run Are Often Connected With Reducers.

Technical Specification

Common cable trays are made from Galvanised Steel, chrome steel, or Aluminium. the fabric for a given application is chosen supported where it'll be used. A Galvanised tray could also be made from a pre-galvanized steel sheet fabricated into a tray or even hot-dip galvanized after fabrication.
