Metallurgical Tests

Hardness Testing
Indo Metall enterprise has tied up with NABL laboratory across the cities like Pune, thane, Mumbai and Nashik. IME has a highly qualified and experienced technical team to assist you throughout the process.
1. Vickers Hardness Testing Machine
The Vickers hardness test method consists of indenting the test material with a diamond indenter, in the form of a right pyramid with a square base and an angle of 136 degrees between opposite faces subjected to a load of 1 to 100 kg.
2. Rockwell Hardness Testing Machine
The Rockwell scale is a hardness scale based on indentation hardness of a material. The Rockwell test determines the hardness by measuring the depth of penetration of an indenter under a large load compared to the penetration made by a preload.
3. Brinell Hardness Testing Machine
The Brinell scale characterizes the indentation hardness of materials through the scale of penetration of an indenter, loaded on a material test-piece. It is one of several definitions of hardness in materials science.
4. Poldi Hardness Testing Machine
The poldi hardness tester is one of the portable hardness testers. The diameter of the indentation on the test surface and the standard bar is correlated in the manufacturer's table and the hardness number is measured in BHN.
Chemical Analysis
Indo Metall enterprise has tied up with NABL lab for spectrochemical analysis.
Tensile Test
A tensile test, also known as tension test the most fundamental type of mechanical test you can perform on material. Tensile tests are simple, relatively inexpensive, and fully standardized. As the material is being pulled, you will find its strength along with how much it will elongate.
Charpy Impact Test
The Charpy impact test, also known as the Charpy v-notch test, is a standardized high strain-rate test which determines the amount of energy absorbed by a material during fracture. This absorbed energy is a measure of a given material's notch toughness and acts as a tool to study the temperature-dependent ductile-brittle transition.
Metallographic Inspection
The metallographic examination is the preparation of specimens for microscopic examination and the study of micro structures with the physical and mechanical properties of a particular material. An etching process would reveal the micro structure of the metal.
